The Yule Cat, Jólakötturinn is Unlocked! The Yule Cat is a giant cat that roams around eating people. Powerful enough to kill and eat grown ups, it swallows children whole.
What can ward off this terrible beast?
Why, new clothes, of course!
Originally used as motivation for workers to get their wool processed on time, the legend of the Yule Cat eventually became a way to extort good behavior from children.
And, while we might not all eat children, we can certainly relate to being hungry and mean at times.
Befitting such a big boy, this pin is the largest individual pin in the set so far and one of my favorites.

The First Sugar Mouse will now be available in Pink as an Add-on and as a freebie whenever you get 4 pins!
The Sugar Mouse is a neat tradition from the UK. During times when sugar was scarce, kids would get a sugar mouse in their stocking for Christmas. They come in all kinds of colors now.

Wow! While I was typing my other update, the Yule Goat and Backing Cards Unlocked!
Each Pin will now come with a themed Naughty or Nice Backing Card!

It's weird sharing early art because it's so different from where we ended up..
The Yule Goat started as another Krampus, albeit a nice one... which... is not a thing. Check out the forked tongue on the one below.
Look at the forked tongue on this one.
Eventually, I found out about the Yule Goat and had a "smack myself upside the head" moment, erased the demon tongue and the Yule Goat was born.

As we go on, there are actually 3 additional Sugar Mice and an additional color for each one to unlock. The first day freebie will be this Cutie, though. ^^ ♡
Krampus
Krampus is unlocked! I've been working on this pin for a long time, as far back as a year ago. It's gone through a LOT of revisions and incarnations and some previous incarnations may make it into the campaign if we get far enough!
Not these, though. :x These are just a sneak peek at the long road each pin takes to get here.
